The Battle Station Zapper Tracker System

The Ultimate Weapon in the
War Against Rats and Mice

Arm yourself with a Rat Zapper Battle Station today

Designed for restaurants, bakeries, ranches, large homes, Facilities Managers and Pest Control Operators, our remote monitoring systems, will allow you to monitor trap activity without checking individual Rat Zappers. Our MP-8 Zapper Tracker system allows up to 16 Rat Zappers to be monitored from a single location and you can use multiple Zapper Trackers in close proximity to monitor many more Rat Zappers if necessary. Great for Integrated Pest Management (IPM).

The MP-8 Zapper Tracker system allows you to be proactive about rodent control. The Zapper Tracker tells you when Rat Zappers need to be emptied. The Radio Transmitters have a range of 300 feet (about one football field). The radio signal will pass through glass, wood, plasterboard and to some degree through masonry and cement. The Radio Transmitters operate at 319MHz and are FCC approved. You can monitor up to 16 Rat Zappers with one MP-8 Zapper Tracker Monitor Panel.

MORE TECHNICAL INFO:

The Zapper Tracker System is designed to be very robust. Here are some of the features that make it so:

1) The wireless transmitters send a status signal to the monitor panel every hour. Because of this, if the power goes out and the monitor panel resets, it will still let you know if there are any rodents in Rat Zappers just one hour after the power comes back on.

2) If the monitor panel does not receive a status signal from a transmitter in a four hour period, it blinks to let you know which transmitter has lost contact. This feature ensures that you won't lose track of a Rat Zapper that was just placed behind a washing machine or a fork lift.

3) The wireless transmitters use 2 ordinary alkaline AAA batteries that last for several years.

The Rat Zapper 2000 is the result of years of engineering and customer feedback.  We've designed the Rat Zapper 2000 to be effective, clean, easy to use, and humane.  The main advantages of the Rat Zapper 2000 are as follows:

  • Effective (kills mice, rats, chipmunks and ground squirrels)
  • Clean (no blood or guts) and re-usable
  • More humane than snap traps, glue boards, and poison
  • Compact (10" x 4" x 4") and easy to use
  • 10 rodent kills or 30 days with one set of 4 alkaline AA batteries
  • Flashing kill indicator light (you never have to see the dead rodent!)
  • Not an ultrasound device
  • Optional Rat Tale
  • Optional Rat Pack (add-on battery pack)
  • Optional remote monitoring capability

This product comes highly recommended and can be vouched for by an actual member of our staff. "This thing rocks!! I had a problem with  mice in a new home i just purchased, so figured I'd give the Rat Zapper a shot. I bought the Rat Tale catch indicator so I could put the unit in the attic and wouldn't have to climb up to check the trap. Within hours i had my first catch, ha ha these critters are toast!! I've already caught three and guess what? No more scratching in the walls at night!! I can honestly recommend this product to anyone with a rat or mouse problem. You won't be disappointed."

Frequently asked questions

  1. Is it OK to use the Rat Zapper outside?
The Rat Zapper works fine outdoors.  We do recommend covering the Rat Zapper with a plastic bag or tarp if it is exposed to moisture, but otherwise you should be able to zap those nasty rodents in your fruit trees, on your patio, by your dog dish, on your fence, in the sub area below your house, in your barn, and all those other outdoor areas where our customers have mentioned problems.

  2. Will the Rat Zapper work on large rats?
Yes.  The Rat Zapper is designed to work on the largest Norway rats as well as the smallest mice.  If you know all of your rats are huge, we recommend the Rat Zapper 2000 because of its larger opening.

  3. Does the Rat Zapper work for both rats and mice?
Yes. It works with the smallest mouse and the largest rat. If you are using the Rat Zapper for both rats and mice, we do offer a suggestion. Mice may be deterred by the smell of a rat. If you have zapped a rat and the mice are not going in, you may want to clean the Chamber with hot water and a mild soap solution.

  4. Why should I use the Rat Zapper instead of other traps?
Other traps like snap traps and glue boards create "trap shyness" in rodents. There is visible, audible, and scent trauma associated with a death in a snap trap or glue board. Snap traps can be bloody and always cause rodent dis-configuration. Glue boards may take hours or days to kill a rodent. Do you think the others like that? With the Rat Zapper, "trap shyness" is eliminated because the kill is always instant and the rodent is left perfectly intact as though it is merely sleeping.  Oh, and don't forget the mess associated with other rodent control methods.  The Rat Zapper is neat and clean.

  5. How many Rat Zappers do I need?
A: For residential users, we recommend 1 Rat Zapper for every 1000 square feet of living space.
For commercial users (or very large homes) with more than 50,000 sq. ft., we recommend a strategic approach.   Get enough Rat Zappers to cover a "section" between 10,000 and 50,000 sq. ft. in size.  Spread those Rat Zappers out over the whole complex and monitor the activity.  Then, move  inactive Rat Zappers to the "hot spots" as necessary.

  6. Does the Rat Zapper work on squirrels, ground squirrels, chipmunks, moles, gophers, groundhogs, possums, raccoons, birds, cats, etc. ?
The Rat Zapper is designed to work on rats and mice.  However, we have had customers who have used the Rat Zapper to effectively control chipmunks, ground squirrels and even mongooses! The Rat Zapper is potentially lethal to any animal small enough to fit their entire body inside the 4" x 4" opening. The Rat Zapper is not dangerous for most adult cats or dogs.

  7. How long do the batteries last?
In the Rat Zapper 2000, four alkaline AA batteries will typically last for at least 30 days or 10 rodent kills.

  8. Can the Rat Zapper zap more than one rodent at a time?
Every time you zap one rodent, you must dispose of it, then reset the trap by turning it OFF and then back ON. However, if you have a large number of rodents to eliminate, you will find our remote monitoring systems helpful. This system allows you to set up multiple zappers and monitor their activity from one location.
